So yeah, I've definitely gotten hooked on this game, except I got too carried away with modifications and hooning that I am now carrying -80,000 on top of my 400,000 debt, so yeah.... Kind of want to start over, but so much work...
Anyway, any tips on the best ways to earn money and xp? Also, are there any good mods you guys use? I want to find a few additional trucks and maybe further modification options, but most mods I've found are insanely subtle or insanely overkill. Plus the only Dekotora mod I have seen just gives one possible Dekotora truck with no room for personalization, so that's no fun. But anyway, yeah, share your trucks here, too, and stuff.

Haven't played it in a while, but I downloaded a mod that made the map larger, so it featured the whole of north Africa, plus Italy and Spain, and most of south France. http://ets2.lt/en/tsm-map-ver . It made the game alot more fun to drive around in, as most of Europe look alike

I too have become hooked on that game. I still have to pay my truck off. It's strangely entertaining.

Yeah, at first I was trying to save up to buy a truck all at once, but at some point I decided to get a loan and hire another driver while I'm at it. That cost so much more than I was prepared to pay, though...

Yeah, I bought a truck, and I had almost enough money to pay for it in full, but I got that payment thing anyways, just for the hell of it.

Well, TSM map is great!
If you want to take a loan, use the loan to buy more trucks and hire the driver to drive the trucks for you. You'll get free moniez.
Also, if you want to hoon buy a MAN. I had a yellow MAN, that one with the 690hp V8, and has top speed of 160km/h while carrying a 25ton bulldozer. Plus it got 1200l fuel tank, so you can hoon all day long!

to make money: look at the quick jobs tabs for the SHORTEST routes. you dont waste time trying to drive there, and its a job done quick, easy, and painless.
look at the payout/km (or mile) take the hgihest ones. it might not be something you like, but it pays well
also, train urself to haul explosives and long distance first. they make the most money.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. It just seems like the time between short jobs might kind of cancel out their benefits.

only take the short jobs if you find them when ur taking a new job. other wise, just take the highest paying ones.
